“Our Academy were introduced with the aforementioned organisation during the last academic year. They have provided vital support/intervention to our students who are most at risk of permanent exclusion. These students are often hard to get through to and have often proven difficult to engage in full time education. This is often due to, in the majority of cases, parents not having the means to support them in their home environment.
Although in the infancy of our partnership, we have already witnessed success and have been able to take students off our Pastoral Support Programme – a measure that we put in place prior to exclusion. This has allowed them to resume their academic journey with new perspective and purpose. Students that have gone through the programme are thriving.
